Application Procedure for Recruiting International Workers

The host company sends EDI position description.

EDI posts the position on our Open Position List.

Applicant sends application form, resume and cover letter to EDI.

Applicant passes EDI interview*

Applicant passes host company interview.

EDI sends confirmation and invoice.

After receiving payment, visa application documents are prepared by applicant.

Applicant obtains DS-2019, "Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor (J-1) Status" or I-797, official approval notice. (H-2B)

Applicant obtains J-1/H-2B Visa by passing an interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

Seasonal work begins upon arrival.



*EDI Interview: Depending on the positions and host companies, applicants need to pass EDI interview before moving on to the host company interview.


Application Procedure for Professional Working Visa Assistance

EDI sends application materials to applicant and host.

Applicant and host send employment and labor certification worksheets back to EDI.

EDI sends confirmation and invoice.

After receiving payment, visa application documents are prepared by an immigration attorney.

Applicant obtains I-797, official approval notice.

Applicant obtains H-1B Visa by passing interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

Employment begins upon arrival.



Application for F-1 Optional Practical Training: International students need to apply for F-1 Optional Practical Training through International Student Center at their universities/colleges. Once students obtain OPT status, EDI can assist American host company in recruiting those students, while we assist students with placement in the U.S.
